Jacob Sundberg from Nässjö Translated into Czech
Through the “Trans-European Journeys” initiative, literary works—including those of five authors from the Jönköping region—are being translated and shared across Europe and beyond. The first author to be translated is Jacob Sundberg, whose novel "Vi hör av oss" will soon reach Czech readers.
"Being translated into Czech and having the opportunity to travel and talk about my novel at a book fair in Prague—a city with such strong cultural capital—is a great honor and something I am incredibly excited about. It remains to be seen whether the portrayal of the Swedish psyche will resonate in The Czech Republic, but I have a feeling that Czechs might appreciate the twisted humor expressed in the book. I’ve long loved The Czech Republic—let’s hope the feeling is mutual"
